Fluid Art

Instead of using brushes or other tools to paint, fluid art "moves" the paint around. There are many techniques you can use to create psychedelic, abstract works of art. The basics include puddle pours, dirty pours, flip cup and swipe. Using acrylic paints with a runny consistency, your everyday masterpiece will unfold before your eyes as the paint slides or drips down the surface. Creative possibilities are endless with all the different ways to combine or pour different colors. Playing with textures makes your creation even more unique. Best of all, fluid art isn’t hard to do. It's a great activity for kids. Or for a girls’ night in with a little wine to go with a lot of fun. So pick up your paints, cups and canvases at pOpshelf and get creative.
