pOpshelf Donates $1,000 to Local Senior Center on Employee’s Behalf
Company Recognizes Clarksville Team Member as pOpstar
Goodlettsville, Tenn. September 12, 2022 – As a part of pOpshelf’s pOpstar employee recognition program, pOpshelf demonstrated its appreciation for Clarksville store team member, Diana R. for her commitment to serving her community by providing a $1,000 donation to Clarksville Montgomery County Ajax Tuner 50+ Activity Center on her behalf.
"Diana and this pOpshelf team are known in the local community for their acts of compassion and genuine concern for all of their customers,” shared Matt Frame, pOpshelf’s senior director of store operations. “There is an energy of care and excitement upon entering the store that is contagious. We are so grateful to have Diana and her team a part of our pOpshelf family.”
Diana exemplifies her passion for helping those in need by partnering with her pOpshelf team to donate plush toys to the local police to calm children experiencing trauma, give pet items to the local animal shelter and host a weekly shopping experience with the Clarksville Montgomery County 50+ Activity Center each week.
“There is always a chance to give back if you take the time to listen and reach out. I look for ways to help those who serve others: the local police departments, women’s shelters and senior citizen homes,” shared Diana. “I especially enjoy the time each week where the Clarksville Montgomery County Ajax Turner 50+ Activity Center brings its members to the store and our team can hear their stories and celebrate them. Overall, it is wonderful to work for a company that encourages me to do what I love. Being able to contribute to this team and our pOpshelf customers brings me so much joy.”
The Company’s pOpstar recognition program highlights employees’ contributions in both professional and personal settings, and recipients choose a nonprofit of their choice to receive a $1,000 donation from pOpshelf.
In addition to recognition through the pOpstar program, pOpshelf also partners with The Confetti Foundation to provide parties to children who have to spend their birthday in a hospital, pediatric oncology clinic or hospice facility.
